At GaitWay, people are people regardless of ability, and are treated as such. They are not disabled, they are differently- abled.”

-Corrine Perez

GaitWay’s Mission is to Improve the quality of life for children and adults with motor disabilities caused by cerebral palsy, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, stroke or other conditions by developing motor skills through Conductive Education.

GaitWay’s After-School Program has provided children with an intensive Conductive Education experience during the school year. By attending CE programs on a regular basis, the children are better able to reach their skill development goals and have an ongoing opportunity for social interaction with their peers.

GaitWay’s After-School Program runs from September-May. Program times are 3:00-4:30 on Monday-Friday, except on Wednesdays, when they are held from 2:00-4:30.

The Summer Program activities provide children with an opportunity to reach their physical and social skill development goals and have fun, too! Typically, children attend in June and July for 4-8 weeks.

GaitWay currently provides Conductive Education for adults in the Adult Day Program. In this program, participants not only receive Conductive Education throughout the week, they also take part in a Pilates class and a cooking class that help them work toward building more independence.
