Our Mission:

Higher Octave Healing, Inc.  is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the quality of life and promoting the empowerment of others through a variety of therapy, research, resource, and community outreach programs.

Our Goals:

• enhance public awareness about the benefits of music therapy
• increase availability of music therapy services
• provide support, resources, and related services for individuals, groups, and families
• advance music therapy research
• offer continuing education and support for professionals and students working in music therapy and related fields

 

Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. (American Music Therapy Association definition, 2005)

Higher Octave Healing (HOH) music therapists work with a variety of children, teens, and adults to address the cognitive, social, physical, emotional, psychological, neurological, and sensory needs of each individual utilizing the rhythmic and harmonic components of music and the therapeutic application of music by a degreed, Board-Certified professional. Just as each client is individual, our highly qualified, board-certified music therapists also have specializations in addressing the needs of various clientele including:

• Music Therapy Teen/Young Adult Rock Band Programs

All HOH music therapists are nationally board-certified through the Certification Board of Music Therapists meeting rigorous, ongoing continuing education guidelines following degree and certification.  Our variety of therapist backgrounds exceed  required degrees/certifications to practice in Arizona (trainings in CPR, First Aid, Article 9, CIT levels I & II, HealthRHYTHMS, GIM, and NMT.) 

 

 

AVAILABILITY: We currently have availability only for clinic-based, individual and small group music therapy services at our clinic location in Tempe, AZ: 200 E. Curry Road, Tempe, AZ  85281.
